EZGO TXT Golf Cart with loads of upgrades! I have one too many golf carts, this one has to go. This is a 1997 EZGO TXT model, 36V electric. I've personally performed all work to this cart and it's in turn-key condition, ready to go. The body has some scratches here and there that you would expect from a used cart.
Most importantly, the frame is not rusted out and the entire battery tray has been replaced with a brand new aluminum unit. This is important as most used carts will have severely eaten battery frame that will need to be addressed or your batteries risk falling out the bottom, but on this cart it's all brand new. Power for this cart is provided by x6 6v Duracell golf cart batteries and are about 3 years old. Cart runs strong on a full charge and will travel a few miles. Top speed is around 15MPH.
You can find these batteries at Costco, Sams or Batteries Plus and the normal price is $99. I’ve installed factory style LED headlights and taillight kit along with a 12v step down converter to properly power them. These lights are crisp and very bright at night. I've used this particular light kit on a few EZGO carts with great results. The front seats have been recovered with UV protected marine grade vinyl.
The seat bottom has even been replaced with brand new 3/4” treated plywood as most carts bottom seats will be rotted out from the battery fumes. The foam is in perfect shape. The battery charger is included! Operates 100% as designed and shuts off automatically once cart is topped off (most chargers are timed or broken causing them to not shut off). The charger plug and female receptacle on the cart side are brand new.
The tires and wheels are brand new with zero miles as of this listing. 4 gauge battery cables have already been installed! This is great in case you want to upgrade to 48V in the future, the battery cables will not need to be upgraded. I've installed a 36V to 12V step down converter that powers the LED light kit. This is the correct way of hooking up any 12V accessories to your 36V cart.
Some people are lazily hooking up 12V accessories to two of the 6 volt batteries and then wondering why their batteries go bad often (causes unbalanced battery pack and short life). With the onboard 12V step down converter, you can install more lights, stereo, bluetooth stuff etc. This EZGO is a 4 seater, a $500 option for any cart that you may want to convert. You can comfortably seat 4 adults and maybe even more kids. We've used this cart a few times to cruise our neighborhood or go fishing down by the lake.
It has a comfortable street ride and goes nicely off the road through grass or uneven ground. The TXT model has great ride qualities and is one of the most popular models which means it has many bolt on upgrades available for it like lift kits, fender flairs, custom bodies, seats, wheels, controllers, motors, etc etc. Serious buyers please contact me for a viewing and test drive before purchase.
