Condition Description: 
Used. This has been sitting in dry heated storage for more than 40 years. It has the original upholstery, and appears to be mostly all original although it appears to have been repainted at some time. Headlight and bracket also look to be not original, although vintage in age. I have not attempted to charge the batteries or see if it will move under its own power. One wheel does not hold air, but has original tires on all three wheels. Please use the photos to determine your own value or opinion as I am not an expert on these rare vehicles. This is sold as is with no warranty or guarantee offered.

This is a Vintage Autoette CruiseAbout Three wheel Electric Micro Car. It was manufactured by the Autoette Manufacturing Company in Long Beach California between 1948 and 1970. It was sold as an Invalid Cart, before regular Golf Carts were ever manufactured or sold. This has been in our family home since the late 1960's and has not been driven for at least forty years. It is a low speed street legal vehicle which is powered by 24 volt battery.

Comes complete with the original electric battery charger. It needs some TLC but is very much complete and mostly original from what I can tell. It is used and sold as is. I am not sure what it would take to have this registered in your state, there is no Title or paperwork available. I can offer a Bill of Sale for the buyer if that would help.

You can learn more about the Autoette history by Google Search, or look up the "Autoette Project" which is a very thorough Blog by Larry Fisher. Mr. Fisher is an expert on this topic and very knowlegeble on the history of this rare item. I suggest looking up the "back story" & History online as it is amazing! This vehicle was created as one of the first street legal Electric cars and was very popular on the West Coast of California as they originated in the Long Beach Area. The Autoette brand is also on display at the Route 66 Electric Vehicle Museum located in Kingman Arizona.

I know you would much rather have an offer than just a comment, but for some reason I just would really like to say to you that I think it would be really interesting to see what one of those Car Guys in Vegas could do with a restoration of this thing. I'm 56 years old and I can vaguely remember the end of their popularity. I grew up in the LBC. Take care.
